I sadly report that the democratic process has once again failed to deliver justice. I do not speak of any recent bastardized rulings from the Supreme Court, or CAFTA, or the EU.

Scott Rolen, David Eckstein, and Jim Edmonds are all MLB National League All-Star starters this year while unequivocally not being the best NL players at third, shortstop, and center field, respectively. Attribute this to the flaw in the democratic process, namely, even morons get their votes counted. The MLB uses fan voting to select the All-Star Team, similar to the NBA. These Cardinal players are now the Yao Mings of the MLB.

Derrek Lee, you are the best first baseman in the world, so don't worry about proving it any further. Rest your shoulder and come back to dominate again.
