I just went through a three-week period during which I came home every night from my job in defeat and frustration. My first inclination was to cut and run, to flee to the safety of the ivory tower. Maybe that's why I'm so hard on academics; in many ways that would be an ideal vocation for me.
Jesus has other plans for me, so after grasping for Him day and night for weeks, He embraced me with robes of redemption. Lifted from futility, I am now experiencing more satisfaction in work than I ever have.
But while I was considering the various types of graduate-level studies out there, I came across an enticing resource to all of you who are interested in studying the theology of Christ:
Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary has free online education program that ends with a certificate. Gordon-Conwell's generosity is reminiscent of the spirit of the Church after the Reformation; a true education available for anyone that will learn.
