Messed. Up.

Clearly, some work needs to be done with the criminal justice system in everyone's favorite new democracy:

Afghan Faces Death Penalty for Converting to Christianity

As a bonus, everyone's favorite word is now even more meaningless:
""The prosecutor says under Sharia law, Abdul Rahman must die. The judge, however, holds hopes for a solution. 'We will ask him if he has changed his mind about being a Christian,' Mawlazezadah says. 'If he has, we will forgive him, because Islam is a religion of tolerance.'""

Pray for Abdul Rahman.

Thanks, the_dude. Glory to God for Abdul Rahman's courage in the face of persecution.

"...because Islam is a religion of tolerance."

Wow. Just when you thought the world couldn't get any more surreal.

Unbelievable. I pray that freedom eventually prevails in that region. I believe it is analogous to the Roman Empire paving the roads from Jerusalem to Rome. It literally "paved the way" for the gospel to be spread throughout Roman Empire. Hopefully, freedom in Islamic countries will pave the way for Christ as well.
