This is the year of the General. Well, not so much MY year, as MY FAMILY's year. I'm not going to lie, we're blowing it up. About a month ago my brother proposed to his girlfriend, and they will be getting married on July 1st. He will be the first of my siblings to get married, and it's about time. My sister is 31, my brother is 28, and I am 23. My parents were starting to get a bit worried about the three of us. But never fear, parents, because it's '06, and we're gonna rock this town.
After 54 combined years of singleness, my sister and I have BOTH managed to score significant others. I've been dating Alexis since November, and my sis has been dating Mike since March. Interjection: according to Freakonomics, an alternate spelling of Alexis (Alexus) is one of the top 20 "blackest" names. No wonder she loves Common and brothers are always hitting on her.
Is that enough for the General's family? Heck no. Let's mix it up a little bit with my sister's impending graduation from Benedictine's masters in business program. And if that weren't enough: I'm buying a townhouse.
After viewing the townhouse and conversing with the seller last night, I put in an offer this morning that I believe will be readily accepted. We are hoping to close on June 2nd, just in time for my birthday.

But we will miss your party, cuz we're going to Cali on June 4th. Congratulations on the townhouse.
Ha ha... that was one of the main reason's I couldn't commit to going to Cali this Spring/Summer.
