Opened eyes

sometimes I'll hear him say Please God Give Me Wisdom So That I... and I'll open my eyes and look around at all the bowed heads seemingly focused in agreement and I'll remember the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and I'll wonder does he really know what he is asking for and then I'll worry do I?

As you describe, there's this vicious cycle in group prayer that can ultimately become self-reflective. At least at that point, it can do some good...

hmmm, that's not really what I was thinking when I wrote this, Lion of God, but I'm glad you threw it in.

I was wondering if we would ask for wisdom if we knew that we are asking to fear God.

What are you saying about group prayer? You got a problem with it? What, man? You wanna step, fool? Don't make me take this cinder block...

Whoa, sorry about that, I got riled up. It's been happening too often lately.
