The 2006 Super Bowl MVP will be...

This man:

Troy Polamalu

Safety for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He plays the game brilliantly, with quickness, strength, and fervor. He can drop back in deep coverage and still blow up the check-down receiver in the flat. He can crush a running back in the backfield. He can blitz the QB with controlled fury. Seattle will fear him.

He will fly under the radar due to the attention Joey Porter will receive. It will be grand.

(More Porter trash-talk here. You gotta love it.)

I concur that Troy is a stud. I did read today that he is listed as probable because of an ankle injury, but I'm sure it's exagerated.

It's amazing how he can drop back into coverage and still make the tackle on a running back at the line of scrimmage. He's like a lion or a pouncing puma.

Porter's comments were hilarious. I'm rooting for a Porter-Stevens brawl.

I agree with your prediction, although I'll be rooting for the Seahawks.
